We have been greatly touched by the outpouring of offers of sympathy and support from our colleagues overseas. We have received many offers of medical support from abroad, but have been unable to accept them due to the extent of destruction and difficulties in getting supplies into the area.

We would like to ask you to support the recovery effort by sending your donations to Janamef. We are hoping to support the rebuilding of the medical care system in the affected areas using the expertise and good will of our international colleagues in the medical community. We will need funding to help support the visits of foreign medical experts and to educate medical professionals in the affected areas in Japan. We also hope to help deal with the medical and social consequences of continuing exposure to radiation.
